| 9/28/2008 - Shooting Death in the City of York | Officers are investigating the September 28, 2008, shooting death of Mr. Ernest Tolbert. Mr. Tolbert was shot and killed while he was working at a laundromat on Blackburn Street in the City of York.
Officers are seeking any information that could help them identify who killed Tolbert. If you can help, call the tip-line at 1-877-409-321, or use the anonymous email available on this web site.

| | 8/14/2008 - Bold theft from customer at the pump-Fort Mill | Surveillance video caught a suspect on tape as he drove up next to a customer at the Exxon on the Run convenience store on Carowinds Blvd. As the unsuspecting customer was pumping gas, the suspect opened the victim`s passenger-side car door and stole her purse. The suspect then drove away with the victim`s cash and credit cards; the credit cards were later used in Charlotte.
As the suspect pulled out onto Carowinds Blvd, he almost caused a traffic accident.
The susepct is described as a black male dressed in a blue pull over shirt and khaki pants and he was driving the vehicle shown in the surveillance image. The vehicle was a gold, 4-door sedan, possibly a Nissan Maxima. The suspect vehicle has a sunroof and a rear spoiler.

| | 8/4/2008 - Man Killed in Shadow lane MHP | Officers are investigating the death of Darrell John Vanderpool. The 23-year-old Rock Hill man was found by officers on the back porch of a mobile home in Shadow Lane Mobile Home Park in Rock Hill. Vanderpool had been the victim of an apparent gunshot. This shooting happened sometime around noon on Monday, August 4, 2008.
Officers are asking that any witnesses, or any person who has information about this case call Crime Stoppers at 1-877-409-4321 and give the information. When you call Crime Stoppers, you do not have to give your name and you could get paid a reward of up to $1,000.

| | 8/3/2008 - Tommy Mitchell Death Investigation | | The Rock Hill Police Department is investigating the death of Tommy Mitchell. Mitchell lived at 961 Steele Street in Rock Hill. On Sunday, August 3, 2008, Mitchell’s body was discovered at his residence. Mitchell’s death has been ruled a homicide.
Officers are urging anyone with information about the death of Tommy Mitchell to call the Crime Stoppers tip-line at 1-877-409-4321. | | 7/22/2008 - Burglary at Lake Wylie Store | The Express Mart on Pole Branch Road near Lake Wylie was the scene of a burglary on July 22, 2008. During the burglary, the building was damaged and cash and merchandise was stolen. The suspect is a white male, he appears to be in his early 20’s, with a large build. He had short, light colored hair, possibly blonde. The suspect has a tattoo on his left arm that depicts an arm band with feathers hanging from the arm band; he appears to have other tattoos as well. The suspect has a scar, or birthmark, on his lower right hand side of his back. If you recognize this suspect from the surveillance images, call Crime Stoppers at 1-877-409-4321.

| | 6/25/2008 - Theft from Earth Fare | | A long awaited new grocery store opens in Rock Hill, but unfortunately a thief has already stopped by picked up an item for himself. According to the police report the man shown in these surveillance images came into the new Earth Fare Grocery Store on Cherry Road and stole a laptop computer.
The man is caught on video as he mills about a front desk and then walks out with the laptop that is valued at over $3,000.

| | 6/23/2008 - Theft at los Americas | Surveillance video at the store, Las Americas, located on Cherry Road in Rock Hill, caught a crime on tape as five persons came into the store and acted as a team to distract employees and to steal money from the store office. The three woman and two men are shown in surveillance video as they wonder around the store, picking up merchandise and talking to employees until one of the thieves makes entry into the store office and then they all leave when he’s got the cash.

| | 6/20/2008 - Post Office Robbery | Postal Inspectors offer sketch, ask for public’s help in Rock Hill Post Office robbery
The robbery occurred Friday, June 20, at 6:40 pm, at the Post Office, 206 South Wilson St, Rock Hill SC 29730. The first suspect is described as a black male, approx. 6’2”, 220 pounds, dark skin, wearing black denim jeans, dark round sunglasses with a red bandanna over his face.
A second suspect is described as a black male, 6`1" tall and 165 pounds, dark skin, wearing a dark hat, dark round sunglasses, and a bandanna covering his face, the bandanna was black with a white swirl pattern.
Crime Stoppers offers rewards of up to $1,000; additional rewards are being offered by the US Postal Service.

| | 4/9/2008 - Burgalry at Burger King in Rock Hill | |
On April 9, thieves broke into the Burger King located on Saluda Road in Rock Hill. The suspects broke in not just one time, but came back and broke in a second time. The two suspects entered through the drive-thru window, kicked in the office door and ransacked the office and stole money from the safe.
The suspects in this case were covered with coats, hoodies and gloves, but officers believe that these suspects have been talking and bragging about their crime. Take a look at the surveillance images and video to see if you can figure out who these suspects are.

| | 2/23/2008 - Theft of Tires and Rims from Family Auto Sales | Family Auto Sales, located on Saluda Road in Rock Hill, was twice the victim of thefts during February. On February 22, thieves stole tires and rims valued at $800 off of a Ford Crown Victoria.
On the night of February 23, thieves stole $800 worth of tires and rims off of a van, during the process $2,000 in damage was done to the van.
The surveillance images show at least two suspects; one suspect appears to be a black male in his teens to early 20’s. He is wearing a quilted hooded jacket, the hood appears to have fur trim.

| | 2/15/2008 - Assault on two elderly women in Rock Hill | Eldery victims attacked in thier home, can you help identify the suspect?
Officers continue to investigate the February 15, 2008, attack on an elderly mother and daughter; the attack occurred in their Willowbrook Avenue home in Rock Hill. During this attack the 85 year-old mother was beaten and stabbed, the 65 year-old daughter was beaten. The daughter has since died.
Authorities have released a forensic artist composite depicting the suspect who is described as a white male, heavyset and short.

| | 11/14/2007 - Robbery at Bob`s Food Mart | Rock Hill authorities are investigating a two-for one crime in which the suspect committed an armed robbery and then was later caught on tape as he used a credit card that was taken during the robbery.
On November 14, 2007, Bob’s Food Mart, located on East Main Street in Rock Hill, was robbed at knife point. The suspect made away with cash, jewelry and the victim’s wallet containing credit cards.
Around three hours after the robbery, the person shown in these surveillance images used the stolen credit card at the Walmart in Rock Hill. Officers believe he is the same man that robbed the store

| | 8/26/2007 - Shooting Death of James Boulware | Officers are investigating the shooting death of James Oneal Boulware, which occurred August 26, 2007, at 472 Kimbrell Street. A second victim in this case, Cassandra Jones, is still hospitalized.
While many persons have called in giving information that they have heard, officers are hopeful that witnesses, or others, with specific knowledge about case will come forward. | | 9/16/2006 - CVS Near Tega Cay Robbed | On Saturday September 16, the CVS drugstore on Hwy 160 in Fort Mill was robbed at gunpoint and the robbery was caught on surveillance tape. Take a look at these images and see if you can help officers identify the suspect.
The suspect was a white male who appeared to be in his 40’s to 50’s, he was approximately 6’0 tall, with a thin build. At the time of the robbery the suspect wore a torn white t-shirt, dark pants and a dark baseball cap with a logo on the front of the cap. The suspect had blonde hair that was long in the back
